Patrice Delaveau (FRA) got the hosts off to a good start at CSI5*-W Equita Lyon on Friday, as he aboard Leontine Ledimar Z HDC (Lodefever II x Grosso Z) went to the top in the 1.50m Prix Region Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes.
It was a convincing victory by Delaveau, as he had a margin of almost a second to runner-up Scott Brash (GBR) riding Hello Guv'nor (Diamant de Semilly x Papillon Rouge). Simon Delestre (FRA) and Philippe Rozier (FRA) made sure to give the home crowds more to cheer for as the two took care of third and fourth place riding Sultan du Chateau (Kannan x Galoubet A) and Quel Chanu (Flipper d'Elle x Calypso de Moyon) respectively. Fifth place in this two-phase competition went to Yuri Mansur Guerios (BRA) aboard Sire One (Silverstone x Ahorn).
