Saturday night’s CSI5*-W 1.55m Gothenburg Trophy presented by Volvo Cars at the 2026-edition of Gothenburg Horse Show in Sweden went to Germany’s Patrick Stühlmeyer and the 12-year-old gelding Conterno-Blue PS (Veyron x Chacco-Blue).
Eight horse-and-rider combinations cleared their way into the deciding jump-off, where only the top three delivered another flawless round. Jumping clear and stopping the clock on 36.54, Stühlmeyer and Conterno-Blue PS took the win ahead of the host nation’s Linda Heed and Crack Blue (Conthargos x Chacco-Blue), who had to settle for the second place with a time 38.18.
Lars Bak Andersen (DEN) and Leviathan HS (Livello x Casall) placed third when crossing the finish line clear in 43.60, while a fence down in 32.18 seconds left Julien Anquetin (FRA) and Blood Diamond du Pont (Diamant de Semilly x Arpege Pierreville) to fourth, followed by Eiken Sato (JPN) aboard Campai 3 (Chacco-Blue x Landcapitol) in fifth.
“I am really happy, my horse jumped unbelievable today,” the Patrick Stühlmeyer said in the press conference afterwards. “He has been jumping well at the last shows in Mechelen and Amsterdam, and today was my day. He is an unbelievable horse, he has so much scope, good canter and a really great mind.”
