A happy William Whitaker on his weekend in Stuttgart: "I had a bit quiet show over the weekend and to end it with winning the World Cup makes me very proud."
Lucy Davis ended second with the beautiful Barron: "I'm also very excited. I had almost two months off and my horses are feeling very fresh and competitive. After William went I thought I whould end further down than second, so I'm very happy."
Third placed Steve Guerdat said this: "I am also very happy. It is not much to say, I was just too far away from the winner today. I really wanted to win since I have been close a couple of times, but today I was too slow in the jump-off. A big congratulations to William and Lucy, they showed me that I have to practice my jump-off."
William on the question about where he was faster than the rest: "I'm not sure really. I knew I was going into the jump-off with nine great riders so if I wanted to be among the best I had to take a few risks. Fandango jumped his heart out today and luckily it was my day."
