Germany’s Richard Vogel and the 11-year-old stallion Phenyo van het Keysersbos (Corydon van T&L x Heartbreaker) won Thursday night’s traditional CSI5*-W 1.50m Prize of Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois Basel at the 2026-edition of the Longines CHI Classics Basel (SUI).
Jumping clear over the 1.50m track set by the course designer duo of Gérard Lachat (SUI) and Gregory Bodo (FRA) and stopping the clock on 59.33, the 2025 European Champion and current world no. six took the win ahead of France’s Kevin Staut and Feline de Hus HDC (Kannan x Levistan) who placed second with a time of 62.60. Denmark’s Andreas Schou and Billy Matador (Billy Mexico x Animo) completed the podium in third when crossing the finish line in 62.79, while Anthony Bourquard (SUI) on Festival Semilly (Tornesch x Orame) and Yuri Mansur (BRA) aboard Vitiki (Valentino x For Expo) followed in fourth and fifth respectively.
