With a bit of luck in the first round William Whitaker pulled off the perfect jump-off with the 11 year old Fandango (Last Liberty x Krocket) in the fifth leg of the Longines FEI World Cup Western European League in Stuttgart. Whitaker won the class with 2,5 seconds down to second placed Lucy Davis and Barron (For Pleasure x Nabab de Reve).

Luc Musette had bult a difficult but fair course with faults spread all over the fifteen jumps. Ten riders cleared the first round and qualified for a long jump-off with ten fences. Six riders produced another clear round, but no one was even close to catch Whitaker's time.

Third place went to Steve Guerdat with Nino des Buissonnets (Kannan x Narcos II), with Marcus Ehning and Cornado NRW (Cornet Obolensky x Acobat) in fourth. Edwina Tops-Alexander and Fair Light van't Heike (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Darco) secured fifth place ahead of Gerco Schröder as number six riding Glock's Cognac Champblanc (Clearway).
