The last day of competition at the 2018-edition of Gothenburg Horse Show, Sweden, kicked off with a CSI5* 1.45m against the clock presented by Hööks.

Out of the 35 horse-and-rider combinations that lined up to start, it was two young Swedish talents that stole the show. Irma Karlsson (SWE) on the 16-year-old mare Balahe (Baloubet de Rouet x Flamingo) clocked the winning time of 57,99 seconds, followed by another future star – Filip Ågren (SWE). Riding the 15-year-old mare Cardina (Cardento x Diamond), Ågren took the runner-up position with a time of 58,06 seconds.

Lorenzo de Luca (ITA) on the 12-year-old gelding Limestone Grey (Try-Time x breeding unknown) took the third spot with a time of 59,28 seconds, while Peder Fredricson (SWE) on the 10-year-old gelding H&M Carat Desire (Carinjo x Latus II) placed fourth after stopping the clocks on 59,40. The fifth spot went to Francois Mathy Jr. (BEL) on the 13-year-old stallion Falco van de Clehoeve (Quickfeuer van Koekshof x Fellini), after the pair crossed the finish line in 59,43 seconds.
