Saturday’s highlight at Partner Pferd Leipzig 2025 was the CSI5*-W 1.55m Championat of Leipzig, a competition counting for the Longines Rankings Group C.

Eleven pairs out of the 48 at start cleared the first-round track set by Frank Rothenberger (GER) and Christian Wiegand (GER), and joined the deciding jump-off where Brazil’s Yuri Mansur and the 17-year-old gelding Vitiki (Valentino x For Expo) clocked the fastest time – taking the win in 39.14 seconds. This was the second big win for the pair within just one week; they also went to the top in the CSI5*-W 1.55m Championat City of Basel last Saturday at Longines CHI Classics Basel.

“I am very, very happy,” Mansur said in a press release from Partner Pferd Leipzig. “In the last few months, I have worked a lot on my speed in the jump-off. As the first starter in the jump-off, I obviously wanted to ride as fast as possible, but not risk too much because if I made a mistake I would have opened the door to victory for the other starters.”

Willem Greve (NED) and Grandorado TN N.O.P. (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x Carolus II) took the runner-up spot with a time of 40.38 seconds, followed by Giacomo Casadei (ITA) and Marbella du Chabli (Elvis Ter Putte x Nabab de Reve) in third in 44.62. Marie Ligges (GER) and Ballerina NRW (Balou's Diamond x Cachas) finished fourth in 45.16 seconds, and Josch Löhden (GER) aboard EIC Schabernack (Cornet Obolensky x Quidam de Revel) fifth with a fence down in 41.94.

“The first round was very technical and the time allowed was quite short,” the second placed Willem Greve said in the press release from Partner Pferd Leipzig. “Yuri then built up a lot of pressure with his round in the jump-off. I'm happy that my horse is doing so well at this level again. After the Olympics he had to take a long break. Today he showed again what a superstar he is.”
