Beautiful horses, emotional riders, happy grooms - these are some of the many scenes from the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships at Zangersheide. Here is a small taste to start off with, and first out is the beautiful Mjt Nevados S, that won the 7-year-old final with Gregory Wathelet in the saddle. Mjt Nevados S is by Calvados Z x Romualdo and is a Polish bred horse - so it was probably the first time Gregory got to hear the Polish national anthem after a win. All photos (c) Jenny Abrahamsson.
It was a lot of tears and kisses after Doron Kuipers won the 5-year-old final with Kerswin van't Roosakker.
The Taloubet Z-son Take a Chance on Me Z ended third in the 6-year-old final - ridden by Christian Ahlmann.
It was a happy Team Clarissa Crotta after Caligula (Cassini I x Contender) took the 6th place in the 7-year-old final.
Last year's silver medalist among the 5-year-olds, Ard Ginger Pop, then ridden by Angelica Augustsson - made it all the way to the jump-off this year as well But after an unlucky pole down she and Marlon Zanotelli had to settle for 11th place.
With Ellavar X (Calvaro Z x Clearway) on the other hand, Marlon Zanotelli could celebrate a silver medal in the 6-year-old final.
Willem Greve's 5-year-old Formidable is getting ready to recieve her bronze medal. Formidable is by Greve's top horse Carambole N.O.P.
