Over jumps he has a phenomenal action with immense, seemingly limitless scope. This six year-old gelding bears a remarkable resemblance to his sire Cassini II. He’s a powerfully built horse with a gigantic jump, dynamic take-off, plus an excellent leg action and bascule. At the video shoot everyone watched in amazement as he jumped a maximum height course of jumps with ease. He has the ability and attitude to be a championship horse.

Abnormal’s pedigree is also out of the ordinary, which is another reason why we have such high hopes of him.

Cassini II was one of Holstein’s most popular jumping horse producers. During his time at stud he sired ten licensed stallions that have accumulated over EUR 300,000 in prize money at international competitions so far. Cassini II’s most successful offspring include C‘est ci bon, Cassius and Centurio.

His dam, Alette, was also a 1.30m show jumper. Her sire, Padinus, has a pedigree that puts him among the crème de la crème of Dutch warmblood stallions, with Heartbreaker on the sire’s side and Grannus on the dam’s side. Padinus’ sire Heartbreaker is currently one of the most sought-after jumping sires in Europe. His outstanding reputation as a stallion is founded on his own career as Grand Prix horse and the competition track records of his offspring, which include European Championship horses Admara (Emanuele Gaudiano) and Sterrehof’s Baccarat (Marc Houtzager). Padinus’ dam line boasts world-famous stallions Grannus, Tangelo and Courville. Ladina, Padinus’ dam, was an international show jumper that competed up to 1.50m level with Wil Schellekens. Finally, Abnormal’s pedigree is refined by C- Indoctro, a stallion renowned for siring absolutely top-quality offspring.

Abnormal has come here straight from his breeder, where he’s been professionally brought on and competed in young horse classes. He’s been placed in young horse classes up to 1.30m and is ready for youngster tours.
