Brown Eyes

They're irresistible, aren't they?

Brown Eyes is a modern-type, athletic horse who comes straight from the breeder.

This six year-old mare unites all the characteristics that we look for in a contemporary youngster today. An exemplary attitude and character are two of this athletic mare’s most outstanding features. Not only is this unique horse a light-footed, easy ride with incredible scope, she’s also careful over jumps, has an excellent leg technique and fast reflexes.

Brown Eyes‘ gene pool includes Lord Pezi and Grandeur, two of the best German breeding stallions. Lord Pezi was show jumped internationally by Gilbert Böckmann and, according to the WBFSH ranking, he’'s also one of the world’s best producers of show jumping horses. The Oldenburg stallion has his offspring to thank for his ranking; many of them big names in international show jumping such as Louis (Beat Mändli), Lariccello (Helen McNaught), Le-Champ (Mikhail Safronov), Lord Spezi (Margie Goldstein Engle Goldstein) and Little Pezi.

His sire Lacros by legendary Landgraf I amassed over EUR 200,000 in competition winnings with his rider Dirk Schröder. Miss Playback, his dam, produced the licensed stallions and successful top show jumpers Liberty Life and Lord Pezi Two. A mare that she produced called Free Lilly (competition name Who knows Lilly) competed at the Olympics.

Brown Eyes’ dam, Utina, has produced several offspring that made it into top-level competition sport. The dam’s sire Grandeur was a living legend. Ridden by Thomas Frühmann, he is still the most successful competition stallion of all time, and he also won many international classes at showgrounds around the world during his career as a competition horse. As a breeding stallion, he has an equally legendary reputation.

This capable mare is ready to compete right away. She’s won young horse and regular classes with jump-offs up to 1.30m and been placed in 1.35m classes this season, as well as qualifying to compete at the Bundeschampionat for Six Year-Old Show Jumping Horses in 2015. The German Equestrian Federation’s competition register lists 28 placings for Brown Eyes. Now, she’s ready to go international.

It isn’t just the brown eyes that make this mare irresistible.
