Holstein Foal Auction 2015

Verband der Züchter des Holsteiner Pferdes

Numerous top show jumping careers have started in Holstein.

The Elmshorn and Behrendorf Foal Auctions have always been excellent springboards for such careers. Now it’s time again - future top athletes are to be auctioned off on 29 and 30 August.

“We are at the top!” In saying so, people in Holstein do not just refer to their geographical position on the German map, but also to their show jumping performance. It is not without reason that Holstein horses have been filling the top ranks of the WBFSH rankings (World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses) for years. Heading the list at the moment are two horses, both of them previously sold at Holstein Foal Auctions. One of them is the 12-year-old Lintea Tequila (Campbell x Corrado II) bred by Erik Schöning from Sipsdorf. This lively mare caused a stir lately by winning the Grand Prix of Doha, worth 165,000 Euros, under her rider Edwina Tops-Alexander. The other one is the Clearway son Glock’s Cognac Champblanc (breeder: Peter Diedrichsen, Föhr). Presented by Gerco Schröder from the Netherlands, the grey gelding won the team gold medal at the European Championships in Aachen last week.

The Who-is-Who of Sports

Anyone wondering where to find such exceptional horses should not miss this year's Holstein Foal Auctions. On this occasion, approximately 85 foals made the grade and are to be presented as part of the select auction lot. All of them are offspring of proven Holstein mare lines. Their stallion lines read like a show-jumping who-is-who. From international top stallions such as Casall ASK, Kannan, Numero Uno and De Niro to younger stallions that are just about up and coming. This includes Chin Champ, Cascadello I, Diarado, Quiran, and others. On 29 August in Behrendorf in North Frisia or on 30 August on the terrain of the Holsteiner Verband (Holstein Federation) at Elmshorn – there are plenty of opportunities to find tomorrow’s exceptional talent! Go and get him!

Important:
You may bid for a foal by telephone.
