The bidding has started on Trigon Auctions first collection of the 2021 foal season. A tradition set in 2020, the bidding will close next Wednesday, as it does for all four foal auctions planned this year.

The group of 16 foals is selected by VDL Stud, Stal Tops and Frederik De Backer following scouting trips in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.      

The collection balances proven sires with up-and-coming stallions. Yet consistent is the correctness of the foals and the proven damlines. 

At the selection every foal was vetted and in the last week before the final auction day, all foals have undergone one more vet check.

When the foal is delivered, after the age of 5 months the veterinarian will check it once more. Buyers can be assured they receive a healthy foal.

• Roteusi VDL, a filly by Glasgow van ’t Merelsnest out of Etoulon VDL’s sister.
• Rolex VG, a colt by Aganix du Seigneur Z out of the sister of Samuel Parot’s 1.60m horse Dubai.
• Rockefeller VDL, a colt by Bacardi VDL out of Eiken Sato’s 1.50m mare Q Royal Palm.
• Riverside, a colt by Impressive VDL out of a sister to Gunter Treiber’s 1.50m performer Guinness.
• Rolex W, a colt by Chaqui Z out of a For Pleasure mare, related to Martin Rodriguez’ Highway HBC.
• Colorado J, a colt by Cardento VDL out of a sister of Bassem Mohammed and Gerco Schröder’s 1.60m Grand Prix mare California.

• Rohan, a colt by popular sire Defender VDS Z, brother of Faizemieka (1.45m) of Braden James. The dam is a sister of Bugatti of Candice King.
• Darko van Klein Statum Z, a colt by Dallas VDL, full brother of Amanda Flint’s Grand Prix horse Irvington VDL.
• Rhapsody VL, a colt by Etoulon VDL, brother of Eclips of Jennifer Goddard. 
• Eye of the Tiger Z, a colt by Epleaser van’t Heike, the dam is a sister of Dani G Waldmann’s Jay Star, the granddam performed at 1.60m.
• Rivola J.E., a filly by Baltic VDL out of a Toulon dam. Granddam is a full sister to Michelle Vandal’s Travola and 3rd dam is a full sister to Nations Cup winner Garavola.
• Rico Kalvinio MB, a colt by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve and Baloubet du Rouet, the 3rd dam is the full sister of Grand Prix and Nations Cup winner Loro Piana Havinia.

• Disco Music Z, a colt by Diamant de Semilly. The granddam is 1.50m performing Sea Coast B52, 3rd dam is Daniel Coyle’s Fortis Fortuna.
• Rezella VG a filly by Hardrock Z, sister to two approved stallions.
• Reloaded des Lys Jaunes, a colt by Kashmir van’t Schuttershof out of the famous Tegonda. The colt is a brother of 3 horses competing at 1.45m and higher.
• Revell, a filly by Zirocco Blue VDL, a half-sister of Niels Bruynseels’ Grand Prix winning Frenchy VDS.
