After the successful embryo auction in the Emirates, Flanders Foal Auction has one more embryo auction on the calendar with foals that will be born soon. A total of 26 embryos will be auctioned on Saturday evening, February 3, at Sentower Park in Belgium. “And they are there to sell! Now that the market is a little calmer, breeders are also realistic. This is your chance to get your hands on something very special for attractive money,” says Gerald Lenaerts.

According to Gerald Lenaerts and Luk Van Puymbroeck, the collection can again be called very diverse with fifteen different sires. “Anyone who pays attention will soon be the breeder of a very interestingly bred foal. In time, you will see how many good horses will come from this collection. The chance of having a special foal is bigger when buying an embryo out of these damlines. It is a good time to buy,” Lenaerts and Van Puymbroeck are convinced.

Prima Donna De Muze Very special: Emerald x Darco. Dam Prima Donna De Muze was the Belgian champion of the 6yo’s. Grandam jumped 1.50m, 3rd dam 1.60m GP, 4th dam 1.60m GP and 5th dam is Tabelle van Sombeke (1.60m GP).

Interesting facts:

• 3 embryos come from sport mares at 1.50m level (1x) and 1.60m level (2x)

• 11 have a grandam who jumped 1.50-1.60m Grand Prix

• 20 grandams have already produced a 1.60m Grand Prix horse

• The buyer will be the breeder

The auction evening in Opglabbeek will have a strong start with a filly embryo by Chacco Blue x Nabab de Reve, whose grandam is Cordula de Laubry. She produced no less than seven 1.60-1.65m Grand Prix horses. Dam is a full sister to Brooklyn Heights (1.65m GP with Denis Lynch), Global (1.65m GP with Christian Weier), Lord de Muze (1.60m GP) and Komeet vd Bisschop (1.55m GP).

Cocoshynsky One of the embryo’s is by Crack Balou (1.60m GP) out of the WEG mare Cocoshynsky (Cornet Obolensky), both ridden by Emanuele Gaudiano.

New on the market, for example, is an embryo by the 1.60m GP stallion Crack Balou (Balou du Reventon) out of the 1.60m GP mare Cocoshynsky (Cornet Obolensky). Both parents have achieved many successes under the saddle of the Italian Emanuele Gaudiano.

The damlines of Walnut de Muze, Usha van 't Roosakker, Tabelle van Sombeke, Centa de Muze, Panama du Seigneur, Ligie and Fragance du Chalus are also represented.

Castres van de Begijnakker The embryo by Balou du Reventon x Nagano is bred out of the half-sister of the 1.65m Grand Prix horses Goya 27 (Janne-Frederieke Meyer-Zimmermann) & Castres van de Begijnakker (photo, Petronella Anderson).

Jos Lansink brings in an embryo by Balou du Reventon out of the full sister to London (twice silver at the Olympic Games in London with Gerco Schröder). There is a Chacco Blue out of the full sister to Dominator 2000 Z, a Conthargos out of Sterrehof's Ushi (1.60m GP) and a Heartbreaker x Chacco Blue out of the full sister of the European Championship participant Chatinue (1.65m GP).

The auction can also be followed online. Start time is 8:00 PM CET.
