Ermitage Kalone, Uricas van de Kattevennen, Nimrod de Muze, Emerald van 't Ruytershof, Zirocco Blue VDL, ... just a few of the Olympic names linked to Foal Auction Prinsjesdag, which takes place on Tuesday, September 17. With a collection consisting of no less than 84 foals, it is bound to have a promising foal for everyone.
The most talked-about stallion of the moment, Ermitage Kalone, obviously cannot be missing from the collection of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. Under the Belgian Gilles Thomas he showed to be cut from the right cloth. With relatively little experience at the highest level, he jumped around in the palace gardens of Versailles like a star. His son, Edgard van de Bickyway Z, not only has a sire who impresses, his dam does as well. Under Siebe Leemans, the nine-year-old mare Plopsa Blue Z jumped to multiple placings and a top 10 placing in the 2* 1.45m Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows last week.
Olympic stallions Ermitage Kalone and Uricas van de Kattevennen
Another son of Ermitage Kalone is Undercover W; his dam is the half-sister of the 1.60m Grand Prix show jumper G&C Arrayan, among others. Another two daughters and a son of Ermitage Kalone are also part of the collection, such as Eleanor JT Z, who goes back to the top dam line of Narcotique de Muze II. Olympic Uricas van de Kattevennen is also clearly present with three daughters and a son. Standout, for example, is Upgrade Leva WD - a Uricas filly out of the half-sister of Hernandez TN N.O.P.
Filly out of Kirby de Muze - sister of Nimrod & Levis
Many more interesting fillies belong to the collection. Take for example Usha van 't Reevediep; a beautifully modeled filly by the world-famous Mylord Carthago out of the excellent lineage of Usha van 't Roosakker. She goes via Echo van 't Spieveld, Spartacus TN and For Pleasure back to the 1.60m jumping mare Electra van 't Roosakker. An excellent filly is also Jenny KCX Berghoeve Z. This daughter of the championship horse Jaguar van de Berghoeve (Emerald out of the sister of Mylord Carthago and Bamako de Muze) is bred directly out of top mare Kirby de Muze. Under Marit Skollerud Cox, Kirby jumped to 1.50m level and she is the half-sister of the Olympic show jumper Nimrod de Muze by Pedro Veniss and the jumping phenomenon Levis de Muze by Ioli Mytilineou.
