The fourth instalment of a Holsteiner hybrid foal auction at the Hörup Springflut festival on 13 July is just around the corner and promises tons of quality and top genetics of the highest order. With 17 hand-picked lots on offer this year, their pedigrees read like the who’s who of the international show jumping scene.

Take for example lot 8, Special Dream by Vigado-Casall from mare family 1446. The dam line has already produced numerous 1.60m level horses, such as Bambina (Harry Charles/GBR), Corrada (Peter Charles/GBR) or La Corrada (Peter Wylde/USA). A full sister to Special Dreams was among the most sought-after Hörup foals and was knocked down to the USA for 17,000 euros. Just some weeks ago, the filly’s sire, Vigado by Vigo d'Arsoullies, had become runner-up in the state championship of the six-year-old jumping horses and he has already qualified for the national Warendorf championship under the saddle of Lucas Wenz. 

Lot 14, Smilla by Million Dollar-Livello, boasts relatives with an international reputation, as well: in her case, Laura Collett’s (GBR) Olympic and 5-star-level winner, London 52, stands out in particular. The combination is among the hot favourites in contention for an eventing medal at the Paris Olympics.

The collection assembles other top names to make the hearts of show jumping enthusiasts beat faster, as well, such as Casall, Clarimo, Quick Star, Ermitage Kalone, Heartbreaker, or Quidam de Revel, same as interesting offspring by younger sires, like for example Keaton, United Way and Charaktervoll, who attracted attention at the Holsteiner state championships just recently. It goes without saying that all the foals come from the very best damlines. How could it be any different in the land between the seas? 

The foal lot has been carefully selected by auction manager Felix Flinzer together with the initiators of the Holsteiner Highlight Sales. All foals on offer will be presented live to the Hörup audience on 13 July at 2:00pm before the hybrid auction begins at 6:30pm.
