Haras des Coudrettes has announced that Patrice Delaveau's ride Aquila HDC is out for the next four months following an injury.
The injury was sustained during the five-star Grand Prix in Dinard last week, and although it is not a big one the 12-year-old gelding by Ovidius x Bollvorm's Lauriston will be given plenty of time to rest and heal in order to be sure that he is 100 % healthy before returning to the ring.
"Patrice and Aquila will be back at the end of the year to be ready for the important year of 2018 with the World Equestrian Games, where Patrice wants to defend his Vice World Champion-title with Aquila HDC," it is stated on Haras des Coudrettes' Facebook page.
