Artemis Farms continues to strengthen Rodrigo Pessoa’s string of horses and has acquired the 9-year-old mare Chili (Consolidator x Berlin) from Ashford Farm for the Brazilian Olympic Champion.
Chili has for the last one-and-a-half years been seen with Pessoa’s compatriot Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, who has produced the mare through the ranks – all the way up to 1.50m level.
“I am very excited to welcome Chili into our string,” Pessoa says to World of Showjumping. “She has been competing at a high level with my teammate Marlon and doing very well. I always like to come to Ashford Farm when I’m looking for new prospects; they have quality horses at all levels. This wouldn’t been possible without the support and enthusiasm of Kristy and Jim Clark from Artemis, and it’s a privilege to be working there with a great team.”
“Chili is an exceptional horse, who over the last 1.5 years has been exceptionally produced by Marlon,” Enda Carroll of Ashford Farm comments. “It gives us great pleasure to continuously source great horses for Artemis Farms and Rodrigo.”
