After joining the team at Ashford Farm earlier this year, Ellavar X has been sold - and it will be Vincent Voorn that takes over the ride. The 6-year-old mare by Calvaro Z x Clearway won the silver medal at the FEI Breeding Jumping Championships in September with Marlon Zanotelli in the saddle. The promising mare has been purchased by the Kleer-family, who has given Voorn the horse to ride and develop for the future.

"I saw the horse in Lanaken, she is a real eye catcher. As I was looking for a horse for the future for my sponsors, the Kleer-family, I went to try her. It was a good fit straight away, and I am very grateful to the Kleer-family to give me the possibility to ride her. 'Ella' has a good record already, but she is only six - so I will take my time with her. I always like to bring the horses up myself, so I will develop her as well as possible, put her in the right classes - and hopefully she will do the big sport in a few years," Voorn says to World of Showjumping.

Voorn's Swedish student Elina Petersson has also made a purchase at Ashford Farm, and will be the new rider of Marlon's mount Vera. The 10-year-old mare by Contender x Corrado II, who was produced by the owners' daughter Regine Eikelid, has had some good results with Marlon in the saddle - taking wins at Olympia, as well as in Stockholm and Oslo last year to mention some.
