Bertram Allen’s GK Casper (Canto 16 x Quantum) has been sold, and his compatriot Darragh Kenny has taken over the ride on the 12-year-old gelding.
With Allen in the saddle, GK Casper won the CSI4* World Cup qualifier in Toronto in 2019, as well as a CSI4* 1.55m in Wellington earlier this year. The pair also has wins from Basel, Doha, Dublin, Eschweiler, Peelbergen and Vejer de la Frontera to look back at – to mention some of their many top results together. “I’m delighted to have sold GK Casper on to Darragh, he has been a brilliant horse for me over the last few years with many great results. I have some fond memories with him, and I hope Darragh will have great success with him,” Allen comments to World of Showjumping.
“We’re so excited to welcome GK Casper to the Oakland Stables team under Darragh, making their show ring debut together today in Wellington! Thank you to Bertram Allen and the Ballywalter team for all the years put into developing this spectacular horse. We cannot wait to see all this new pair will accomplish in 2021,” reads a post on Oakland Stables’ Instagram profile.
