Quainton Stud has sold the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding Quiet Easy 4 (Quidam’s Rubin x Zapateado) to the Norwegian Gjelsten-family. The Gjelsten-family is supporting the young Norwegian rider Johan Sebastian Gulliksen, and it will be Gulliksen who takes over the reins of the charming chestnut.
Quiet Easy has been seen with several top riders over the years like Angelica Augustsson-Zanotelli (SWE), Ben Maher (GBR) and since 2015 the gelding has been very successful with Ireland’s Bertram Allen. The two have won classes all over the world and their latest win came just few weeks ago during the CSI5* LGCT in Mexico City.
“Quiet Easy has been a fantastic horse for me over the years, winning the fastest of speed classes right up to Grand Prix’s. I've been very lucky with him and I wish him and Johan the best of luck,” Bertram said.
Johan Sebastian Gulliksen is excited about his new mount. “I really look forward to riding Quiet Easy. Hopefully I can have a lot success with him and I hope we can be a good team in the future. My first show with him will be the CSI2* in Drammen this weekend.”
