Bertram Allen has announced the retirement of his 19-year-old partner Romanov (Heartbreaker x Fedor).

The KWPN stallion has won several Grand Prix competitions all around the world – such as the CSI5* Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris, the CSIO5* Longines Grand Prix of La Baule as well as the CSI5* Longines FEI World Cup of Bordeaux to mention some. Before Allen, Billy Twomey rode the stallion to several international victories.

"Romanov really was the horse of my lifetime. He was introduced to me by my friend Billy Twomey and played a huge part in launching my career. Romanov has everything anyone could wish for in a horse, and he gave me his best always," Allen states on his website.
