The 10-year-old Zangersheide-bred mare Cas de Liberte Z has been voted 2016 Horse of the Year in Belgium by the readers of the Landbouwleven. The son of Cracky Z is out of the mare Chelsey van 't Kelfshof Z by Chellano Z.
With Niels Bruynseels in the saddle, Cas de Liberte Z has had a fantastic year winning the CSI5* Rolex Grand Prix at the Brussels Stephex Masters, ending 4th in the CSI5* Grand Prix of St. Moritz, 6th in the CSI5* Rolex Grand Prix of Geneva as well as being on the 2nd placed Belgium team at the CSIO5* Nations Cup at Hickstead in addition to recording numerous other top results.
The Horse of the Year-prize will be awarded to Cas de Liberte Z at Jumping Mechelen next week.
