Paul Schockemöhle has bought the colt Come and Catch Me Z (Comme Il Faut x Acordplus), half-brother to his former top horse Catch Me If You Can – that was highly successful under Germany’s Laura Klaphake. In 2018, Catch Me If You Can and Klaphake claimed the team bronze medal at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon and were also a part of the winning German team in the CSIO5* Nations Cup in Aachen. After a great summer season the following year, Schockemöhle sold the mare and Czech rider Anna Kellnerova took over the reins.
This weekend, Schockemöhle secured himself Come and Catch Me Z for 68,000 Euro at the Flanders Foal Auction. Come and Catch Me Z is out of the mare Agentin, mother to Catch Me If You Can and sired by Marcus Ehning’s European team silver medallist Comme Il Faut – which in his turn is out of the famous Ratina Z.
“There were many new clients and we are proud that Paul Schockemöhle visited our auction for the first time and scored a special horse for the future,” Gerald Lenaerts and Luk Van Puymbroeck commented in a press release.
