Lucy Davis’ top horse Barron (For Pleasure x Nabab de Reve) has for long been absent from the competition ring, but is this week finally making a comeback. The 15-year-old gelding is back jumping, and will be competing at Old Salem Spring Series in New York.

“We are taking everything one day at a time. He owes me nothing at this point, so we are just having fun — he feels too good to stop now!” Davis says to World of Showjumping.

Following their team silver medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, Barron and Davis made their last appearance at a major event at the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona that same year. Together, Barron and Davis won five-star Grand Prix competitions at venues such as Lausanne (2013), Rotterdam (2015), Brussels (2015) and Thermal (2015).

Davis has been posting Barron's daily activities in PonyApp. Follow his comeback via this link.
