Cornet Obolensky (Clinton x Heartbreaker) tops the 2025 WBFSH Top 100 Sire Rankings, moving from last year’s fourth to first on his 30,705 points, with Millfield Colette (Cornet Obolensky x Clearway), Corbie V.V. (Cornet Obolensky x Chacco-Blue), Fave d’Audhuit (Cornet Obolensky x Kannan), Casual DV Z (Cornet Obolensky x Cicero Z) and Kapitaal L (Cornet Obolensky x Comme d’Api vd Hacienda) as his top five progeny.

Last year’s ranking leader Kannan (Voltaire x Nimmerdor) drops to second on 30,364 points, followed by Chacco-Blue (Chambertin x Contender) in third with 25,931 points, Diamant de Semilly (Le Tot de Semilly x Elf III) in fourth on 24,162 and Mylord Carthago (Carthago x Jalisco B) in fifth with a total of 16,976 points. 

Vigo d’Arsouilles (Nabab de Reve x Fleuri du Manoir), Comme Il Faut 5 (Cornet Obolensky x Ramiro), Toulon (Heartbreaker x Jokinal de Bornival), Emerald van’T Ruytershof (Diamant de Semilly x Carthago) and Cardento 933 (Capitol I x Lord) complete the top ten.

“Each year, these rankings illustrate how interconnected the international breeding landscape has become,” the WBFSH President Jan Pedersen said in a press release from WBFSH. “The names may be familiar, but their success stories span continents — the result of dedicated breeders, riders, and studbooks working together to produce the next generation of champions.”
