After being absent from the international show rings since the World Equestrian Games in Tryon in 2018, Adrienne Sternlicht’s Cristalline (Cristallo I x Caretello B) is back competing. The 12-year-old mare – that together with Sternlicht won team gold for the US team in Tryon – is this weekend jumping her first international show since September 2018, at the Palm Beach Masters at Deeridge Farms in Wellington, Florida.
“I couldn’t be happier to have Cristalline back competing!” Sternlicht comments to World of Showjumping. “She was out with an injury following WEG, and we have really taken our time bringing her back. She began jumping small classes at the end of last year, and we are being patient and letting her tell us her program moving forward. She feels unbelievable and we have very high hopes for the year. I am very lucky to also have other horses that are capable of fulfilling those aspirations. It will not be easy as there is a very strong US contingent aiming for the Olympics, but with her I believe anything is possible!”
