The 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding Cydello (Cascadello x Forsyth FRH), bred by Christof Schörning, tops the second WBFSH Breeder Ranking for jumping horses of 2024. Ridden by Richard Vogel, the gelding has collected a total of 1234 points in the period counted – 1.10.2023-31.5.2024.
Daniel Coyle's 14-year-old Zangersheide-mare Legacy (born Chavantele Z, Chippendale Z x Bon Ami), bred by Romain Rotty, follows as rank two on 1116 points. Rank three is the 16-year-old Oldenburg-gelding Veneno (born Chagran, Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet), bred by Gestüt Lewitz and ridden by Graham Gillespie, on 1093 points. Last month's ranking leader Olga van de Kruishoeve (El Torreo de Muze x Nabab de Reve), a 10-year-old BWP-mare bred by Eric Polfliet, follows as rank four on 1063 points. The 17-year-old BWP-mare Hortensia van de Leeuwerk (Corland x Argentinus) – bred by Ronald Joosen and ridden by Manuel Gonzalez Dufrane – is rank five on 1057 points.
On the studbook ranking, BWP still leads the way with Olga van de Kruishoeve, Hortensia van de Leeuwerk and King Edward (Edward 28 x Feo, bred by Wim Impens) being their top three ambassadors. Like last month, Zangersheide is rank two with Legacy as its best ambassador followed by Landon (born Crack de Nyze Z, Comilfo Plus Z x Quadrillo, bred by Danny Nijs) and Cancun Torel Z (Cosinhus x Grannus, breeder not listed) as their other two top ranked horses. Selle Francais is rank three with Blood Diamond du Pont (Diamant de Semilly x Arpege Pierville, bred by Matthieu Le Connetable), Dubai du Cedre (Baloubet du Rouet x Diamant de Semilly, bred by Ylvain Pitois and Perrine Cateline) and Donatello d'Auge (Jarnac x Hello Pierville, bred by Susana Epaillard) as the studbook's three best horses.
