Katharina Offel has sold her very talented 9-year-old mare Daline (Vingino x Celano), and it is world no. two and reigning World Cup Champion McLain Ward that will be her new rider.
“When we bought her in April, it was with the aim to be able to jump the big Grand Prix classes again - and Daline has surely showed that she has the potential to do just that,” Offel states on her website. “Unfortunately, it will not be with me as I together with my owners have made the difficult decision to sell her. In the position I am now, with building my own stable and developing my own business, I have to consider the future in other terms than just sport - I want to be economically independent and stand on my own two feet.”
“However, it is with a lot of pride that I will watch Daline develop further under her new rider McLain Ward - one of the world's greatest riders with one of the world's greatest teams - this certainly made the decision to sell a lot less difficult. I wish McLain all the success in the world with this amazing mare, and can't wait to see what they will achieve together!” Offel concludes thanking her owners for their support. “I look forward to invest in and develop new talents together with them,” she finishes off.
