Donatello d'Auge new no. one on the 2023 WBFSH Breeder Ranking

Julien Epaillard's Donatello d'Auge (Jarnac x Hello Pierville) – bred by his wife Susana Epaillard Garcia Cereceda – is the new no. one on the 2023 WBFSH Breeder Ranking. The ranking includes results for the period from 1 October 2022 to 30 June 2023. 

Going from rank two to one, Donatello d'Auge now has a total of 1531 points, followed by Kent Farrington's Landon (born Crack de Nyze Z, Comilfo Plus Z x Quadrillo) – bred by Danny Nijs – who jumps from rank five to two on 1364 points. Landon is followed by Conor Swail's Theo 160 (Christian 25 x Calando IV) – bred by Jenny Abrahamsson – who drops from rank one to three this month with a total of 1353 points. David Will's My Prins van Dorperheide (Zilverstar T x Winningmood) – bred by Stoeterij Dorperheide – stays as rank four on 1239 points, followed by Henrik von Eckermann's King Edward (Edward x Feo) – bred by Wim Impens – as rank five on 1233 points. 

The Breeder Rankings are published monthly from the April extraction cycle onwards. At the end of the cycle, the breeder of the horse with the most points in each discipline is crowned WBFSH Breeder of the Year for each respective discipline. The top breeders are celebrated during the Longines WBFSH Breeder Awards.

For the studbooks, the Holsteiner Verband goes up from rank two to now top the ranking with a total of 6279 points – with Theo 160, Zaccorado Blue (Zirocco Blue VDL x Acorado I, bred by Tanja Schramm) and Monaco N.O.P. (Cassini II x Contender, bred by Ralf Leutja) as their best three horses. New in the top three is Studbook Zangersheide with 6076 points, with Landon, Dexter Fontenis Z (Diarado x Voltaire, breeder S.C.R.I S.KY Horses) and Legacy (born Chavantele Z, Chippendale Z x Bon Ami, breeder Romain Rotty) as their three leading ambassadors. Last month's leader BWP is now sitting third on 6074 points with My Prins van Dorperheide, King Edward and Major Tom (born Nielsdaka van de Rhamdia Hoeve, Vagabond de La Pomme x Heartbreaker, breeder Armand Van Gijsel) as their top three horses.
