Eiken Sato’s Chadellano JRA (Chacco-Blue x Centadel) has returned home from Fort Worth (USA) and is looking well.

The Japanese rider withdrew the 15-year-old gelding from the final day of competition at the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Fort Worth, Texas, after the gelding seemed unwell. With a total score of seven points, Sato was sitting fourth on the overall standings ahead of Sunday’s two rounds of jumping.

"As he was showing mild signs of colic, and we wanted to be absolutely sure he is fine, he was sent to the clinic for further evaluation,” Sato told World of Showjumping at the time.

Luckily, Chadellano recovered well and was able to travel back to Europe with the other horses. “He is back home, and looking good at the moment,” Sato told World of Showjumping on Tuesday afternoon. “He will have a good rest before we return to competition. I would love to have another opportunity to show the world how talented he is.”
