Peder Fredricson’s European Champion H&M All In is back in training, after an injury break. The 12-year-old gelding has been out of action since December last year, when a minor lameness was discovered. Although he quickly was lame free, H&M All In’s hock continued to be warm and it was decided to give him a longer break to recover.
After a few months on the side-line, H&M All In has now gotten the green light to be ridden again and at the moment he is trotting. “The plan now is to slowly build him up again and at the same time we are regularly doing MRIs to make sure that it continues in the right direction and that we can keep on training him. It is a really good prognosis for this kind of injury – it just takes some time,” Fredricson explains to World of Showjumping.
As individual silver medallist from the 2016 Olympics and individual gold medallist from last year’s Europeans, what are the chances of this year’s World Equestrian Games in Tryon? “If we look at the time, the World Championships can be possible but his health goes ahead of any show so we take it one day at the time,” Fredricson concludes.
