Ben Maher's 10-year-old KWPN gelding Explosion W (Chacco Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) – bred by Willy Wijnen – tops the final WBFSH World Ranking List for breeders of jumping horses for 2019. Poden Farms' incredible chestnut is ranked as the best horse in the world with 2683 points.
The 13-year-old Westphalian mare Toveks Mary Lou (Montendro x Portland L) – bred by Hubert Nienhaus and ridden by Henrik von Eckermann – sits second on 1716 points. Daniel Deusser's ride Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z (Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve x Mr Blue) – an 11-year-old Zangersheide stallion bred by Jonas Bellemans – is rank three on 1712 points.
Maikel van der Vleuten's ride Dana Blue (Mr. Blue x Hemmingway) – an 11-year-old KWPN mare that is bred by J.A.M. Bocken – is rank four, just like last month. The 13-year-old Westphalian gelding Clooney 51 (Cornet Obolensky x Ferragamo), that is bred by Bernd Richter and ridden by Martin Fuchs, is new as rank five.
On the studbook ranking, KWPN finishes 2019 on top at 9664 points with Explosion W, Dana Blue and Creedance (Lord Z x Notaris) as their three best representatives. Rank two is the Westphalian Studbook that has 7941 points – with Toveks Mary Lou, Clooney 51 and Lucifer V (Lord Pezi x Grandeur) being their best three ambassadors. Studbook Zangersheide is up to rank three with Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z, Ladriano Z (Lawito x Baloubet du Rouet) and Don VHP Z N.O.P. (Diamant de Semilly x Voltaire) as their top three horses.
