The first edition of the FEI Jumping Guidelines for Use of Saddlery, Equipment and Dress was published in September 2022, and can be found here.
With images to clearly illustrate which equipment is allowed and not allowed, the 44-page document is to be read in conjunction with the FEI Jumping Rules. In case of any discrepancies, the FEI Jumping Rules prevail.
While the document might help clarify what is allowed when it comes to bridles, nosebands, bits, auxiliary reins, hind boots as well as other items of tack and equipment, it is important to remember that all items that are allowed are only allowed under the condition that they are used correctly and do not have a negative impact on horse welfare.
