The FEI has allocated the 2027 FEI Jumping European Championship for young riders, juniors and children to Brussels, Belgium, with Stephan Conter's Stephex Group at the helm as organizers.

The team at Stephex is well-known for their spectacular events, such as the annual Brussels Stephex Masters, and in the past also the summer series Knokke Hippique. Recently, Conter expanded his event portfolio when he acquired the venue formerly known as Hubside Jumping in Grimaud, St. Tropez, together with Eric Berkhof – CEO of the Van Mossel Group, with the aim of hosting FEI shows on the site from 2026.

“We believe it’s incredibly important to inspire and support young riders in their development,” said Stephan Conter, CEO of the Stephex Group, in a press release. “Those competing at a Youth European Championship today, might be the world’s best tomorrow. We don’t just want to offer them an exciting and valuable sporting experience, we want to create lasting memories that continue to motivate them as they build their careers at the highest level.”

Glenn Maes, chairman of Paardensport Vlaanderen, added: “In addition to being awarded the Senior European Jumping Championships in 2027, the FEI has also chosen Belgium, and more specifically Brussels, with the Stephex Group, as the organizer of the European Championships for Children, Juniors, and Young Riders.” He adds: “It will be an amazing prelude to the Senior European Championships. 2027 is set to be an absolute highlight for equestrian sport in Flanders, with these two major events. With the Stephex Group involved, we can count on top-level organization, meaning both our young talents and senior riders will enjoy world-class sport right here on home soil. We’re already looking forward to it and counting down the days with you.”
