Very sadly, Jessica Mendoza’s Ramiro de Belle Vue (Mozart des Hayettes x Capricieux des Six Censes) has passed away at the age of 16 following colic complications after an eye operation.

The couple had many successful years together after Jessica took over the reins on Ramiro de Belle Vue back in 2013. The two won classes all over Europe, and were known as one of the fastest pairs on the circuit.

On her Facebook-page, Mendoza pays tribute to Ramiro – writing: "Such a sad and tough week for him and all of us... But he couldn't make it through the colic operation. I couldn't have asked for a better few years on him. He took me from winning at my first Global Tour to winning my first Derby and car. The most cheeky and cheerful character who has a special place in all my teams heart. Thank you for everything and sweet dreams little man."
