After three successful years with Belgium’s Jerome Guery in the saddle, the 12-year-old Grand Cru van de Rozenberg (Malito de Reve x Heartbreaker) has been sold and the new rider is Spain’s Pilar Cordon.
Guery brought Grand Cru van de Rozenberg up to international Grand Prix level, and together the two won the Longines Grand Prix of La Baule in 2016 and the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Miami in 2017. The pair also represented Belgium at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and at the 2017 European Championships in Gothenburg.
“Life moves on and a page turns... It's with a lot of emotion that Grand Cru just left our stables,” reads a statement from Guery on his official Facebook page. “I thank life for making sure my path was joined by this truly fantastic horse that brought me and all my team so much joy and happiness...... Thank you, thank you all who were present during this beautiful adventure.”
