The 12-year-old Hector van d’Abdijhoeve (Cabrio van de Heffinck x Utrillo van de Heffinck) has been sold, and the new rider will be Nadja Peter Steiner.
“I now have a super team of experienced horses with Celeste, Hector and Saura de Fondcombe. I have a lot of hopes for next year when Saura will be back to the top of her form again, and with Celeste and Hector to help her. I’m happy and very proud to have the chance to have those horses who fight so much for me at every single show,” Peter Steiner says to World of Showjumping.
The stallion has during the last year been competed by Denis Lynch, who took over the reins from Bertram Allen at the beginning of 2019.
With Allen in the saddle, Hector van d’Abdijhoeve was part of the Irish team that won the gold medal at the European Championships in Gothenburg 2017. The pair also won the CSIO5* Longines Grand Prix of St. Gallen in 2017.
