British Showjumping hosted its 2025 Awards Ball this week, and some well-known names were among the recipients.
The 10-year-old mare Hello Folie (born Folie de Nantuel, Luidam x Diamant de Semilly – bred by Claire Gouin – owned by Lady Pauline Harris and Lady Pauline Kirkham) was awarded '5* Team Horse Debutant', after taking double silver at this year’s Longines FEI Jumping European Championship in A Coruña with Scott Brash in the saddle. Brash’s long-time groom David Honnet was also celebrated as he was awarded 'Team Groom of the Year'.
The European team silver squad consisting of Ben Maher, Scott Brash, Donald Whitaker and Matthew Sampson as well as Chef d’Équipe Di Lampard were announced as the winners in the category 'Senior Team Performance' of the year.
Sue Jaggar received the 'British Breeders Award' for the 12-year-old mare Millfield Colette (Cornet Obolensky x Clearway – owned by Reitsportanlage Dagobertshausen GmbH & CO.KG and Donald Whitaker), who has had an incredible season with Donald Whitaker – taking team silver at the Europeans, as well as being part of the winning Nations Cup team at Spruce Meadows and of the team that took the title in the Longines League of Nations Final™ in Barcelona last weekend.
Rachel Proudley was awarded 'Leading Young Rider' of the year. Proudley won individual gold at this year’s FEI Jumping European Championship for Young Riders in Riesenbeck, as well as team bronze, riding Quality Street (Obos Quality x Lux – owned by HK Horses).
