Sweden’s Olympic team gold medallist, double world champion and European team champion Henrik von Eckermann tops the Longines Ranking for the 18th consecutive month – leading the way with 3421 points. The top three remain the same as last month with reigning Olympic champion Ben Maher (GBR) as rank two increasing his points to 3330, followed by Kent Farrington (USA) as rank three on 3075 points.
Steve Guerdat (SUI) remains as rank four on 3047 points, while Julien Epaillard (FRA) goes up another rank, climbing from six to five with his 3023 points. Martin Fuchs (SUI) drops one spot down to rank six on 2835 points, followed by Simon Delestre (FRA) as rank seven and Max Kühner (AUT) as rank eight.
Mclain Ward (USA) drops down to rank nine, while Richard Vogel (GER) breaks into the Top 10 for the first time in his career – pushing Shane Sweetnam (IRL) out of this prestigious list.
This month's ranking includes validated results from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.
* The Longines Ranking counts a rider’s 30 best results over a twelve month period – beginning on 1 January with the carryover of the total number of points which have been accumulated during the previous year until 31 December. At the end of each month, the points earned during that month are added to the list, while the points from the same month in the previous year are dropped.
Points are distributed based on the level of the competition (from 1.45m to 1.60m), the prize money available, and whether it is an individual or a team competition – according to a table in the Longines Ranking Rules.
Points obtained at Games and Championships are retained on the list depending on the frequency of the events, as regulated in art. 2 of the Longines Ranking Rules.
