For a second consecutive month, Henrik von Eckermann's double World Champion King Edward (Edward 28 x Feo), a 12-year-old BWP-gelding bred by Wim Impens, tops the WBFSH Breeders Ranking for 2022, which includes results for the period from 1 October 2021 to 31 July 2022. King Edward sits on top of the list with a total of 1669 points.

Just like last month, Conor Swail's Count Me In (Count Grannus x Sherlock Holmes), a 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding bred by Friedrich Luessmann, is no. two – now with 1455 points. Ben Maher's Faltic HB (Baltic VDL x Concorde), a 12-year-old KWPN stallion bred by H.A. Brinkman and M. Huisman, stays as rank three with a total of 1383 points. Rank four is another Conor Swail-mount; the 13-year-old Selle Francais gelding Vital Chance de La Roque (Diamant de Semilly x Rivage du Poncel), bred by Marie Bourdin, that was listed no. five last month. Monaco (Cassini II x Contender), a 13-year-old Holsteiner gelding bred by Ralf Leutja and ridden by Harrie Smolders, goes down from rank five to four this month.

The breeder rankings are published monthly from the April extraction cycle onwards. At the end of the cycle, the breeder of the horse with the most points in each discipline is crowned WBFSH Breeder of the Year for each respective discipline. The top breeders are celebrated during the Longines WBFSH Breeder Awards.

For the studbooks, BWP still leads the way on 6866 points, with King Edward, Like A Diamond van het Schaek (Diamant de Semilly x Bamako de Muze) and Igor van de Wittemore (Cooper vd Heffinck x Orlando) being their best three horses. Just like last month, Stud Book du Cheval Selle Français follows as rank two on 6353 points, with Vital Chance de La Roque, Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo Van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) and Equine America Unick du Francport (Zandor x Helios de la Cour) as their three best ambassadors. KWPN is new as rank three, on a total of 6173 points – with Faltic HB, Glamour Girl (VDL Zirocco Blue x Caletto I) and Orafina (For Fashion x Canturo) being their top three horses.
