The 2020-edition of Knokke Hippique has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

A statement from the organisers reads:

"Dear Knokke Hippique Friends,

Knokke Hippique 2020 had all the ingredients to become another great experience. We were looking forward to spend another summer together and were ready for the best Summer experience yet.

Unfortunately, due to the worldwide coronavirus outbreak and its consequences we have to officially announce that Knokke Hippique will not take place in 2020.

This difficult decision was made by Stephan Conter, CEO of the Stephex Group and Paul Gheysens, CEO of Ghelamco in accordance with the mayor of the city Knokke-Heist, Leopold Lippens. It’s our mission to create a wonderful event including the sport at its best, but it’s also top priority to look after the well-being, health and safety of all our spectators, guests, partners, riders and suppliers. We will meet again in 2021 for a new incredible edition.

The best is yet to come. Take good care of each other, keep your distance and stay safe."
