Christmas came early for Germany's Philipp Weishaupt this year. His employer Ludger Beerbaum Stables today shared the news of having bought LB Convall (Colman x Cascavelle) from Hans Liebherr.

The 10-year-old Holsteiner stallion is going to stay in Riesenbeck. "This is the best Christmas surprise I could imagine," Weishaupt tells World of Showjumping. "The discussion about selling him has been going on for a while, and I am happy that we have now reached a solution. I am very thankful for everyone who made this possible."

With Philipp in the saddle, LB Convall won this year’s CP International Grand Prix presented by Rolex at Spruce Meadows, as well as the prestigious Aachen Grand Prix last year. The pair helped Team Germany win the Nations Cup on home soil in Aachen this summer by producing two clear rounds, and they were also a part of the German team for the Longines FEI European Championships in Gothenburg.

Recently named as a part of the German Olympic squad for 2018, the pair can now look forward to an exciting new year.
