The 14-year-old Zangersheide-mare Legacy (born Chavantele Z, Chippendale Z x Bon Ami) – bred by Romain Rotty – has taken over as the new no. one on the latest WBFSH Breeder Ranking for jumping horses, which counts results from 1 October 2023-31 August 2024. With 1611 points, Legacy – who is ridden by Ireland's Daniel Coyle – has climbed to the top of the ranking, followed by Olympic champion Checker 47 (Comme Il Faut x Come On) as rank two on 1595 points. Checker 47, a 14-year-old Westphalian-gelding, is bred by Wolfgang Kipp, and ridden by Germany's Christian Kukuk.
The Selle Francais-mare Dubai du Cedre (Baloubet du Rouet x Diamant de Semilly) – bred by Ylvain Pitois and Perrine Cateline – is up to rank three this month after great performances at the Olympic Games with France's Julien Epaillard, now sitting on a total of 1584 points. Henrik von Eckermann's King Edward (Edward 28 x Feo) – bred by Wim Impens – is down from rank two to four this month, followed by last month's leader Cydello (Cascadello x Forsyth FRH) – bred by Christof Schörning, and ridden by Richard Vogel – as rank five.
On the Studbook Ranking, Selle Francais jumps up from rank three to one on 7697 points with Dubai du Cedre, Caracole de La Roque (Zandor Z x Kannan, bred by S.A.R.L. Top Stallion Company) and Dynamix de Belheme (Snaike de Blondel x Cornet Obolensky, bred by Frederic Aimez) as its three best representatives.
Zangersheide is pushed down to rank two this month, on 7441 points, with Legacy as its best ambassador, followed by Dexter Fontenis Z (Diarado x Voltaire, bred by S.C.R.I S.KY Horses) and Beau de Laubry (Bisquet Balou C x Nabab de Reve, bred by Haras de Laubry) as the two other top ranked horses.
BWP drops from rank two to three this month, on 6960 points, with King Edward, Olga van de Kruishoeve (El Torreo de Muze x Nabab de Reve, bred by Eric Polfliet) and Hortensia van de Leeuwerk (Corland x Argentinus, bred by Ronal Joossen) being its top three ambassadors.
