Martin Fuchs has today shared the happy news of his 2019 European Champion Clooney 51 (Cornet Obolensky x Ferragamo) returning home to his stables in Wängi, after spending the last two months at a clinic in Zürich, following a serious shoulder injury that the gelding sustained in mid-August.

At the beginning of October, Fuchs told World of Showjumping how Clooney has been recovering exceptionally well since the career-ending accident. “I have been sending all of Clooney’s information to some of the best vets in the world and there is not one that can believe how fast and well he is progressing," Fuchs said.

Today, the moment Fuchs and his team have been waiting for finally came and Clooney could return home where he now will enjoy his retirement.

Fuchs has previously praised the entire team that has been treating Clooney at the clinic in Zürich, and also made sure to post a special tribute to them as the grey gelding finally could return home. "Thank you Tierspital Zürich for taking the best care of our champion," Fuchs posted to his social media channels.
