Abdel Said has bought the 9-year-old stallion Oak Grove’s Laith (London x Quaprice), formerly known as Bentley de Riverland.
Germany’s Harm Lahde has produced the Selle Francais stallion since he was a youngster, and has brought him all the way up to CSI3* Grand Prix level. The pair competed at the FEI/WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken in 2018 as well as in 2016.
“Oak Grove’s Laith is a horse with all the potential in the world,” Said comments to World of Showjumping. “Harm has done a beautiful job with Laith, and I will continue on the work he has done – producing him further towards the top sport. I believe he is a very special horse.”
“Laith also has a very interesting breeding and is an approved stallion in the Zangersheide studbook, as one of very few licensed London-sons,” Said tells. “He will keep on breeding a bit in the future too, next to his sports career.”
“Over the last months, we have been investing in some other exciting horses too. One of them is the 6-year-old Donnatella JL (Diarado’s Boy x Kannan), that was discovered in Sweden at her breeders Jessica Lindahl and Johan Lindmark by Antonia Pettersson Häggström. While Donnatella is still a bit green, she is a very exciting prospect for the future,” Said closes off.
