Philipp Schulze Topphoff’s Concordess NRW (Congress x Acobat III) has been sold to Qatar. The 13-year-old mare did the first international appearance with her new rider Rashid Towaim Ali Al Marri (QAT) at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova, Spain, today.
With Schulze Topphoff, Concordess NRW claimed individual gold at the 2019 FEI European Championship for young riders in Zuidwolde and team gold at the 2018 FEI European Championship for young riders in Fontainebleu. In 2021, Concordess NRW and Schulze Topphoff won the CSI5*-W Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ in La Coruña, placed 13th in the CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen and 10th in the CSIO5* Turkish Airlines Prize of Europe at the same venue. That same year, they were also part of the winning German team in the CSIO3* Nations Cup in Budapest. In 2022, they finished 17th at the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final on home soil in Leipzig.
“Yes, it is unfortunately true that Conci has been sold,” Schulze Topphoff confirms to World of Showjumping. “For us as a family this was probably one of the hardest decisions we have had to make. Concordess has been with us since her first show start and has over the years been trained by me, my sister and my dad. With Concordess, I was able to celebrate my biggest successes so far and I owe everything to her. We were lucky enough to meet Concordess' new owner beforehand and we know that she has a nice new home for the future where she will be in good hands.”
