Forlap (Querlybet Hero x Heartbreaker) – one of Gregory Wathelet’s top horses – had a tragic accident while being longed on Friday and fractured his fetlock bone in the right front leg.
Due to the serious injury, the 12-year-old gelding went into surgery on Sunday afternoon. “The surgery went really, really well. Forlap got seven screws in, and an external fixative to take the weight off the lower leg. The possibility of complications is still there, so we take it day by day,” Forlap’s owner Judith Goeckel says to World of Showjumping.
The WoSJ-team wishes Forlap a speedy recovery!
