FEI's 'Return To Play'-hub has been updated with new guidelines for prize giving ceremonies and media activities at FEI events during the Covid-19 pandemic. The measures are not intended to replace different national and local authorities' restrictions, and should be applied together with the already existing FEI Policy for Enhanced Competition Safety during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The document contains detailed guidance on how to organize a safe prize giving ceremony, as well as sanctions for non-compliance, and will be effective from September 1. For example, face masks must be used by everyone involved in a prize giving ceremony – with the exception of athletes mounted on a horse or driving a carriage. Face masks are also mandatory for all presentations in which a podium is used. Podiums should no longer be populated with all three teams simultaneously.
