After several years at the very highest level of the sport, the now 14-year-old stallion Vagabond de La Pomme (Vigo d’Arsouilles x For Pleasure) will shift his focus towards his breeding career. An announcement from Vagabond de La Pomme’s owners Haras des Clarbec has been released today, reading that the stallion is to be retired this year to focus on breeding duties.
Vagabond de La Pomme has had a fantastic sports career, finishing as Vice Champion at the World Cup Finals in 2015 with Penelope Leprevost in the saddle as well as ending 2nd in the CSI5* Hermès Grand Prix of Paris in 2017, 2nd in the CSI5* Grand Prix of Basel in 2016, 3rd in the CSI5* LGCT Grand Prix of Paris in 2016 and 3rd in the CSI5* LGCT Grand Prix of Chantilly in 2015 – to mention some of the many top result that made him earn almost a million euro in prize money.
Vagabond de La Pomme already has offspring competing at the highest level of the sport, such as J’Adore van het Schaeck, Jackson de Regor and Jenson van ´t Meulenhof.
