What's on in the jumping world – Week 27, 2025

This week, the 2025-edition of CHIO Aachen takes place at the iconic Soers, in Aachen, Germany. The jumping began on Tuesday 1st of July, with the world's best horses and riders in action.

Belgium, Brazil, France, Great Britain, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and USA will feature teams in Thursday's Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup, while the show will conclude with Sunday's Rolex Grand Prix – the second Major of the year in the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping.

Among the many big names on the entry list is world no. one Kent Farrington (USA), world no. two and 2024 Olympic team gold medallist Ben Maher (GBR), world no. four and reigning Olympic champion Christian Kukuk (GER), world no. five McLain Ward (USA), world no. six and reigning European champion as well as Olympic vice-champion Steve Guerdat (SUI), world no. seven Martin Fuchs (SUI), world no. nine Richard Vogel (GER) and world no. ten Cian O'Connor (IRL). Other well-known names on the list include living legends Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) and Marcus Ehning (GER), Scott Brash (GBR) – who is the only rider to have won the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, the leader of the FEI U25 Ranking Nina Mallevaey (FRA), while Andre Thieme (GER) – the 2021 European champion – will be back to defend his 2024-title in the Rolex Grand Prix.

The Spruce Meadows 50th Anniversary-season in Calgary, Canada, continues with the CSI5*/CSI2* Spruce Meadows 'North American' 2025.

The 2025-edition of the Longines Global Champions Tour moves on to Monte Carlo, Monaco, for the 8th stage of the season.

The entry list for the CSI5* includes current world number three and 2022 double world champion Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), former world number one Harrie Smolders (NED), 2024 Olympic bronze medallist Maikel van der Vleuten (NED), 2024 Olympic team gold medallist Harry Charles (GBR), as well as the 2024 Olympic team bronze medallists Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Simon Delestre (FRA) – while John Whitaker (GBR) and Marco Kutscher (GER) are among the other big names that will be competing in Monte Carlo.

The action at Harthill, Great Britain, continues with the second week of competition – this week a CSI4* – at Bolesworth International presented by Al Shira'aa. Billy Twomey (IRL), Angelie von Essen (SWE), Guy Williams (GBR), Lily Attwood (GBR), Skylar Wireman (USA), William Funnell (GBR) and Jack Whitaker (GBR) are among the names on the entry list.

The Royan Summer Tour 2025 in France continues with the second week of competition, this time a CSI3*.

The 27th edition of Jumping International de Maubeuge takes place in France.

The fifth edition of CSI Maeza at Yeguada Finca Maeza, in Sariego, Asturias, Spain, sees riders from up to 18 countries join them for a CSI3* this week, with riders from Belgium, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Finland, France, Great Britain, Guatemala, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, and the United States competing – among those Ireland's Michael G. Duffy and Belgium's Thibault and Anthony Philippaerts.

The Great Lakes Equestrian Festival in Traverse City, USA, kicks off with the first of three weeks of competition.
